GoodBelly Probiotic Juice Drink Review

When it comes to health supplements I can get very skeptical about them because some of them are very misleading. Meaning you have ones that tell you they are this, that, and the other and yet still turn out to be a sucky product. The same can go for probiotics because typically people think of powdery pills or yogurt in order to get their daily dose.

Luckily I came across this product in Whole Foods. I wasn’t intentionally looking for this item and yet it still was able to grab my attention to the point where I walked around the store a few times and went to the same juice refrigerator, not once but 3 times. What stood out to me was the fact that it was in juice form, again not powdery pills but an actual juice.

My first reaction was, “Nuts, it has to be mixed with something.” No, it states clear as day “juice drink” on multiple sides of the carton. I was sold! Upon arriving home I was super curious on the taste, they had flavors Blueberry, Peach, and what I call “Very Berry” (Raspberry & Blackberry). Why I grabbed two berry flavors I have no clue but I’m glad I did.

Blueberry Açaí Flavored

The first one I tasted was the blue berry one and immediately my tastebuds were doing doing the MC Hammer dance. It was so delicious I had to drink more, literally drinking from the carton. From the day that I opened it I literally drank it everyday until it was empty. I was indeed so delicious I forgot it was a drink for your immune system. It tasted like your everyday favorite juice in the fridge. I was very happy with this purchase and unfortunately was sad to see it go. On the bright side I will be grabbing another carton on my next grocery trip. I give the GoodBelly Probiotic Drink a 10/10 on the “Fork Scale”.

“Very Berry” Flavored

The next flavor grabbed was the “Very Berry”. I was super excited to taste this one, especially with the way the blueberry one had me feeling. Upon taking my first sip you can smell the deep berry scent followed by see the seeds floating as well. As the juice hit my tongue I was happy with the taste but not so happy has the first one. You can definitely tell it wasn’t as sweet as the first one until I realized I grabbed the “No Added Sugar” one. Don’t get me wrong it is still delicious, but just not as delicious as the açaí one. With that being said I will give the GoodBelly “Very Berry” Probiotic Drink a 8.5/10 on the “Fork Scale”.

The one on the left is lighter due to more pineapple and hemp seeds added.

Smoothie Time “Recipe”

Now because I had devoured the first one, I was left with making a smoothie out of the “Very Berry” juice. The recipe goes as followed…

Ingredients

• GoodBelly Probiotic “Very Berry”

• Noosa Honey Yogurt

• Frozen Pineapple

• Frozen Berry Mix (Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry

• Hemp Seeds (Optional for Fiber)

Directions

1. For an easier and smoother blend let frozen fruit sit out for about 10-15min. It will allow the juices and the fruit to thaw and not be flavorless fruit ice cubes.

2. Take your blender (Ninja) and add all of your ingredients: Probiotic juice, yogurt, pineapple, & berry mix and give it a swirl.

3. The ratio of juice and yogurt depends on your smoothie preference. I like mine to be a little loose but not watery so I’ll add more juice. For a thicker consistency, add juice but more yogurt.

You can use a variety of other juices “probiotics” or not and still be able to enjoy a healthy flavor packed smoothie. Enjoy 😊!
