Do the Unthinkable

What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to?

If there is one risk I could take, it would be to move abroad over seas. Before culinary school it was just to travel abroad, but with current situations going on in the US it’s turned into wanting to stay permanently.

Before graduating culinary school, I told myself that I wanted to travel abroad. I wanted to experience the culinary side of countries outside of the US.

I wanted to travel and just see more of what the world had to offer. I had then wrote out a great amount of details and plan as to how I would do it.

Honestly, there has been ample opportunities for me to do so, that is, if I actually applied action to the things I had written down. The only thing that kept me from taking those steps was leaving behind long term family, friends, and my significant other.

Of course many would say do it, but being a family oriented individual, it wasn’t that easy. I’d be leaving behind any and everything that I’ve ever known and love to essentially be going into the unknown…alone!

Not saying that it is too late because honestly, me and my spouse could plan and leave, but I believe there is something actually keeping us here in the states. Traveling is always an option, but a permanent move will come with its ups and downs.
