What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?
Before I chose to take the path of being a chef there was one thing that I’d always love. That one thing was being outside watching the storm clouds roll in and get darker. That’s right, as a kid I was obsessed with storms and what occurred in the sky to make such a thing possible. My alternative path was to study Meteorology & Atmospheric Science.
Many would say it’s weird to not only enjoy sunny days, but to get super stoked and excited for storms to come. People see thunderstorms storms as a bad disaster, what I saw was nature expressing its true self. To see how much power and energy our earth can store in the atmosphere and once it’s all over you’re sometimes hit with a beautiful rainbow at the end. There is so much more that goes on in the sky’s above us that can’t be explained, leaving more to discover. Storms are like the earth releasing bad pent up energy and cleansing itself, like when you as a person get really angry. There is so much built up energy within ourselves, the moment we blow off steam and cry we feel better, thus creating a rainbow of relief in our body. Studying the earth is like studying human psychology but in a natural way!
