The Kid Deep In Your Heart

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

What it means to be a kid at heart is for us to do any and all things that makes us feel alive and happy. As a kid everything that catches our attention makes up happy, even the small things. That can be your favorite food, movie, snack, toy, person whatever it may be.

Now as we get older those things that we used to get crazy about, people then begin to tell us we’re too old to engage in certain things or activities. As a kid you could have been in love with toy trains, obsessed whenever one catches your eyes. You feel this immediate sense of happiness that no one can take from you. You then become an adult and you have people tell you that it’s immature to like toy trains because it’s not seen as valuable as other adult things.

As we get older we let the world around us dictate what makes us happy, how we should fulfill our satisfaction. They want it to be on an “Adult Level” and after so many years of people telling us what to do, we forget and drop all that things that gave us life. We need to get back into what gave us fulfillment as kids because those very same things make up who we are. Your joy shouldn’t be at the control of another person. Any hobby, activity, or item that brings you life, submerged yourself in it and get back to being the kid you were. A lot of people’s happiness today is still in that kid, waiting to be released and nurtured again.
