This is a “Try It Out Tuesday: Recipe” series where I create a recipe using the featured product from “Try It Out” the day before. This week we will be reviewing:
Whole Foods Market Vegetable Potstickers ($2.79)

Potstickers Review
I am very much a fan of potstickers and whenever I come across them, I have to grab them. These were found in the frozen entree section of Whole Foods, across from the meat section.
The cooking process is so simple, you just heat your frying pan up with a little oil and brown them to your liking. I let mine get a little crispy to get ride of some the doughiness. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t any kind of sauce to dip them in.
After taking my first bite I was expecting bold flavors, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Usually after the first bit I can tell if I like something or not. Unfortunately these were bland and had the consistency of mashed peas and vegetables. On a “Fork Scale” of 1-10; I will have to give these a 5. It wasn’t all bad because I enjoyed the crispy outside.
Feel Good Food Vegetable Egg Rolls ($5.69)

Egg Roll Review
The same way I feel about potstickers, I feel about egg rolls and to be honest I’m more likely to grab eggs rolls first. These are located in the same door as the potstickers; in the frozen entree section.
Upon opening the box I saw that it was only 3 rolls and no sauce. Immediately I thought they were going to be small and a disappointment like the potstickers. I opened the package and to to my surprise they were pretty darn big. I popped them in the oven (Air Fryer) frozen on 400 for 20 min. I also rolled them over periodically to have even browning.
After the 20 min was up I plated them and grabbed a little P.F. Changs Teriyaki sauce. I didn’t want to slam the egg roll with teriyaki sauce, I wanted to explore the flavors of the egg roll by itself. I took the first bit and I was hit with all the flavors I was looking for. A nice outter crunch, Napa cabbage, shiitake mushrooms and sweet sauce on the inside. It was amazing from the first bite all the way to it’s last. Not to forget the size of the egg rolls, they were pretty huge compared to standard. I’d give these giant egg rolls on a “Fork Scale” of 1-10; a definite 9.5. The .5 is off for no sauce in the box.
Fried Rice w/ Veggie Potstickers

Ingredients
• White Rice
• Sesame Oil
• Kosher Salt
• Pepper
• Ginger (Ground Optional)
• Shiitake Mushrooms (Pre Sliced)
• Broccoli (cubbed)
• Green beans (in half if too long)
• Carrots (pre shredded)
• Sesame Seeds
• Whole Foods Vegetable Potstickers
Directions
1. Rinse rice and boil until partially done. Spread out evenly on pan to dry. When making fried rice, you want the rice to be dry as possible. The moisture will cause it to clumps.
2. Cut broccoli into cubes and cook partially. You don’t want to cook fully because it’s going to be cooked again in the wok.
3. Heat a wok (skillet) up with a little sesame oil and add veggies in. I start with what takes the longest to cook; ie carrots.
4. Once carrots are added, add the remainder of veggies and anything else you’d like.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Once lightly browned, removed from pan and add a little more sesame oil.
7. Add dried rice and coat evenly with oil.
8. Make a well and add veggies in, continue to move around while gradually adding rice.
9. Cook until rice turns brown lightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
10. Remove potstickers from package and brown them to liking in a oiled skillet.
11. Serve & Enjoy 😁🍽
